Robyn Hunsucker

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor

I believe in the power of an authentic connection. By prioritizing each client’s specific needs and aspirations, I strive to create a supportive and collaborative environment that fosters meaningful growth and healing.

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Benedictine University in Illinois. I have extensive experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs, and private practice settings. My focus is on collaborating with children, teens, adults, and couples struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, and life-related stressors. I aim to provide space for growth through psychoeducation, exploring personal values, inner strengths, effective coping strategies, and establishing a strong sense of self.

My training includes neuropsychotherapy methods and evidence-based treatments, allowing me to tailor therapy to each client’s unique goals. Using a versatile theoretical approach, I incorporate elements of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy, attachment theory, person-centered techniques, trauma-informed care, and psychodynamic therapy.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, teenagers, and dogs. I love the beach, antiques, music and laughing until it hurts.

I work with clients 8 years of age and older.
